The 43-year-old actress and singer was filming a guest role on the Brooklyn set of the popular CBS crime drama when she was reportedly hit by a piece of lighting equipment.

An on-set witness told TMZ that Chenoweth fell over from the blow and hit her head on concrete. And FDNY ambulance responded to the set’s 911 call and provided medical attention at the scene before transporting the actress to a nearby hospital.

Chenoweth’s publicist Jill Fritzo told the Associated Press that her client was hit by scaffolding, but the actress’ condition was not immediately known.

A New York City Fire Department spokesman told the Associated Press that a woman suffered minor injuries at that location but the spokesman wouldn’t identify her.

Chenoweth is a country singer and Broadway star who originated the role of Glinda in the musical “Wicked” and won a Tony for playing Sally Brown in the show “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.

Chenoweth recently starred on the ABC comedy series, “GCB,” which was cancelled after two months on-air, sparking a huge outcry from fans. Chenoweth also appeared on shows such as “Glee” and “Pushing Daisies.”
