b1gMailServer Readme

Thank you very much for purchasing b1gMailServer! In this package, you can find all files you need for install it.
This file contains summarized instructions how to set up b1gMailServer and how to update it from further versions to the current version. More detailed instructions are contained in the manual which can be found in the b1gMail Wiki - this readme file serves as a quick start introduction only.

This version of b1gMailServer requires at least b1gMail 7.2.0. This version is incompatible with older versions than 7.2.0!

Installation (Linux)

If you are installing b1gMailServer for the first time and are using a Linux server, please follow these instructions.
  1. Log-in to the ACP of your b1gMail installation.
  2. Navigate to the page "Plugins" in the homonymous section.
  3. Choose the tab "Install".
  4. As "Plugin package", choose the file "BMSAdmin-<version>.bmplugin", contained in this download archive and click at the button "Install".
  5. Check the plugin origin information displayed on the following page and click at the button "Install".
  6. Upload the file b1gmailserver-2.7.<build>-<arch>.run contained in this archive to your server.
  7. Launch the file by by entering sh filename.run, e.g. sh b1gmailserver-2.7.123-i686.run.
  8. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Installation (Windows)

If you are installing b1gMailServer for the first time and are using a Windows server, please follow these instructions.
  1. Log-in to the ACP of your b1gMail installation.
  2. Navigate to the page "Plugins" in the homonymous section.
  3. Choose the tab "Install".
  4. As "Plugin package", choose the file "BMSAdmin-<version>.bmplugin", contained in this download archive and click at the button "Install".
  5. Check the plugin origin information displayed on the following page and click at the button "Install".
  6. Upload the file b1gmailserver-2.7.<build>-<arch>.exe contained in this archive to your server.
  7. Launch the file by double-clicking it.
  8. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  9. Start all services you would like to use in the b1gMailServer manager.

Updating from b1gMailServer 2.5 or 2.6 (Linux)

If you already use a b1gMailServer 2.5 or 2.6 release, please follow these instructions to update to the current version.
  1. Log-in to the ACP of your b1gMail installation.
  2. Navigate to the page "Plugins" in the homonymous section.
  3. Choose the tab "Install".
  4. As "Plugin package", choose the file "BMSAdmin-<version>.bmplugin", contained in this download archive and click at the button "Install".
  5. Check the plugin origin information displayed on the following page and click at the button "Install".
  6. Upload the file b1gmailserver-2.7.<build>-<arch>.run contained in this archive to your server.
  7. Launch the file by by entering sh filename.run, e.g. sh b1gmailserver-2.7.123-i686.run.
  8. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Updating from b1gMailServer 2.3 or 2.4 (Linux)

Please update to version 2.5 first and then follow the instructions above (Updating from b1gMailServer 2.5).

Updating from b1gMailServer 2.3, 2.4, 2.5 or 2.6 (Windows)

If you are using an older version of b1gMailServer in association with b1gMail7 on a Windows server, please follow these steps.
  1. Log-in to the ACP of your b1gMail installation.
  2. Navigate to the page "Plugins" in the homonymous section.
  3. Choose the tab "Install".
  4. As "Plugin package", choose the file "BMSAdmin-<version>.bmplugin", contained in this download archive and click at the button "Install".
  5. Check the plugin origin information displayed on the following page and click at the button "Install".
  6. Upload the file b1gmailserver-2.7.<build>-<arch>.exe contained in this archive to your server.
  7. Only when updating from a version <= 2.7.3147 or from the 32 bit to the 64 bit version: Uninstall the old version of b1gMailServer using the Start menu or the Windows Control Panel.
  8. Launch the file you uploaded in step 6 by double-clicking it.
  9. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  10. Start all services you would like to use in the b1gMailServer manager.

Licensing agreement

§1 Using this product is subject to the following licensing terms. Violation of one or more of these terms is forbidden and will be persecuted by the vendor. The vendor may revoke the license in case of violations without refunding any purchase price or licensing fees.

§2 A license is valid for one installation of this product. If you would like to install b1gMailServer again, you have to remove any prior installations associated with this license first. You need a separate license for each concurrent installation.

§3 You are not allowed to create or distribute illegal copies of this product, neither in unmodified nor in modified form, in any case.

§4 You may only install this product with a license key issued to you by B1G Software. Usage of other license keys (e.g. license keys issued to other licensees or license keys not issued by B1G Software) is not allowed.

§5 You may not modify the binary files of this product or transform the binary files from their compiled machine-readable binary form to another form (i.e. you may not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble this product).

§6 Use of this product occurs exclusively at the license owner's risk. The vendor is not liable for claims resulting from the use of this product, except in case of intent or gross negligence. The vendor does not guarantee for the usability of this product for a certain intended use. Any receivables in case of dispute are limited to the purchase price of the license.

§7 The vendor is in no way liable or responsible for any data generated, composed, acquired, distributed, exchanged (etc.) using this product. The vendor is not liable for the operation of accounts created or managed using this product and cannot access these.
