Justin Bieber looks set to pour his heart out over his split from Selena Gomez on his upcoming album, Believe Acoustic, with the bonus single ‘Nothing Like Us’ rumoured to have been written about his pretty ex.
‘Nothing Like Us, which leaked online over the weekend, was solely written by Justin and the lyrics suggest he wrote it about his troubled relationship with the ‘Spring Breakers’ actress, which is believed to have come to an end earlier this month after a bust-up during a New Year holiday in Mexico.
The ‘Boyfriend’ is thought to offer a candid insight into the cause of Justin and Selena’s split, with lyrics including: “I have you everything, baby, everything I had to give. Girl, why would you push me away?”
Believe Acoustic, which is released on January 29, features stripped-back versions of the tracks which appeared on the original album, Believe, including ‘Beauty and a Beat’ and ‘As Long As You Love Me.’
Another track, ‘Yellow Raincoat’ also leaked last week and, similar to ‘Nothing Like Us,’ is also rumoured to focus on the former couple’s split, which according to the song, was due to Justin’s fame.
Meanwhile, Selena has hinted she will also tell-all about their break-up on her upcoming new single which is expected to debut in March.
“Through ‘Spring Breakers’ and experiencing so much last year it will be interesting to kind of have my fans know everything I went through, through music,” Selena told MTV News.
“I think for me, it was actually interesting to see that towards the middle of me recording my record, a big turn happened to me and it was incredible to see how I applied that to music because I’ve never done that before and it’s great.”
