The closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics might spice up your life.

The Spice Girls are among the music acts rumored to be a part of the closing ceremony set to air on Sunday, August 12, according to People magazine.

Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham, Emma “Baby Spice” Bunton, Geri “Ginger Spice” Halliwell, Melanie “Sporty Spice” Chisholm and Melanie “Scary Spice” Brown were seen rehearsing atop black cabs.

On August 2, Victoria Beckham Tweeted a photo of a rhinestone microphone with the caption “Look what I found!! X vb.” She used the microphone during reunion performances with the Spice Girls in 2007.

Other performers rumored to appear are Annie Lennox, George Michael, Jessie J, and the Pet Shop Boys, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Spice Girls last made headlines in late June when they reunited to announce the launch of a new musical based on their songs called “Viva Forever.”

The musical will open at the Piccadilly Theatre in London on December 11 and is not a biography of the band, the show’s producers said at the press conference. However, the show will echo the band’s theme of female empowerment and feature a storyline of friendship tested by fame.

The musical aims to tap into the same audiences that adore jukebox musicals like “Mamma Mia,” which was based on hits by ABBA. That musical has been produced in 14 languages and spawned a hit film starring Meryl Streep which grossed $609 million worldwide.

“Viva Forever,” which was named after a Spice Girls single, tells the story of “four friends whose bond becomes strained when their band enters a TV talent show,” according to The Associated Press.

The show was written by Jennifer Saunders, the co-creator of “Absolutely Fabulous.” Saunders appeared in the Spice Girls’ 1997 film “Spice World.” The show will also be produced by Judy Craymer, who produced “Mamma Mia.”
