The Craftworks Foundation has been teaming up with Old Chicago in downtown Boise for eleven years now to provide a helping hand during the holidays.

Guests were welcomed to a classic Old Chicago meal featuring pizzas, pastas, hand-tossed salads and toasted garlic bread.

The event provided entertainment for everyone with a “North Pole room” where kids could play games and color.

Even Saint Nick took time out of his busy day to make a stop by.

“Coming back here for Christmas with all the kids has been really great,” Santa said. “It’s really heartwarming, all the people who come here to volunteer and then the people coming in with smiles on their face and the little kids that are excited to be here and they’re just so thankful that they got this opportunity.”

Old Chicago isn’t the only place offering free holiday food this Christmas. The Boise Stage Stop is offering free meals to CDL drivers and their families until 6 p.m.
