Huawei Premia 4G is an Inexpensive Yet Mid-range Smartphone

Huawei Premia 4G.jpegFor small and mid-sized businesses, the greatest impediment in improving their business communication system is the limitations on the financial resources. These types of companies, however, are very integral to pushing the country’s economy forward, so it is only proper that they should be given opportunities to acquire gadgets without having to begrudge every single penny that comes out. The good thing that when it comes to Smartphones, there is a host of inexpensive devices that these cash-strapped SMBs can take advantage of.

Yet in this case, affordability entails some compromises as regards quality and performance, and this is only logical. If you only have a few hundred dollars to spare, then you have to forego the likes of Samsung Galaxy S3 or iPhone 5 for the cheaper, if mid-range performing handsets. Of course this does not matter very much if you do not have specialized use for Smartphones, and only need a mobile counterpart where you can launch the features and functions of, say, a RingCentral PBX telephone system.

One of those inexpensive smart phones that you can consider for your business is the Huawei Premia 4G, which you can acquire via an off-contract price that is truly a great bargain. This Android 4.0 Smartphone has a pretty good camera (5MP), although you might be turned off by its mediocre call quality as well as less-than-stellar battery life. Admittedly, though, there are better Smartphones out in the market today that you can get at the same price as the Huawei Premia 4G, an example of which is the LG Motion 4G.

Let us go through some of the salient features of this Smartphone. First off, in terms of design and build, Huawei Premia 4G’s seemingly bland look is not something to write home about. It has a rectangular body that is mellowed by rounded corners, with a metallic looking rim around the face of the device. This handset is compact, with a height of 5”, a width of 2.5”, a thickness of 0.48” and a weight of more or less 5 ounces.

In terms of display, the Huawei Premia 4G is equipped with a rather small 4” screen that is surrounded by a thin bezel. It sports an 800 x 480p resolution, which is rather paltry for current standards, though it is better than BlackBerry Q10’s 720 x 720p screen resolution. Meanwhile, the Huawei Premia 4G gains additional points for including a MicroSD slot, which can accommodate up to 32GB of memory.

This Smartphone’s camera is also something to commend. It has a 5MP rear-facing camera lens equipped with an LED flash and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. These cameras are excellent in taking photos outdoors, and video quality is also fairly decent.

The Huawei Premia 4G sports a rather outdated Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating systems. It also performs well when it comes to data speed. This Smartphone also houses a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 with 1GB of RAM couple by a 2GB internal storage. With this, lags are almost noticeable, even if you are launching a gaming app.

Two of the phone’s weaknesses include subpar voice quality and low battery life. Voices are not crisp and clear, though there are no background noises. Huawei Premia 4G’s 1650mAh battery is rather small, giving you a mere 4 hours of talk time and 6.7 days of idle time. If subpar call quality and better performance are something you can ill afford then skip this Smartphone and choose the best phone at similar prices.
