Star was upset that her act had been voted off
She defied Simon Cowell last week when she survived elimination after he warned her to pack a suitcase, but CeCe Frey’s journey on the X Factor USA came to an end last night.
The talented singer, whose bright and colourful performances left Simon less than impressed, found out her fate when it was announced by hosts Khloe Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez that she would be leaving the show.
Commenting on her exit, CeCe told the hosts: “I hope that I taught everyone at home that you need to love who you are because the more you love who you are the less you are going to need anybody else to.”
However, CeCe wasn’t the only one who was upset about her exit as her mentor Demi Lovato borke down in tears in the aftermath of CeCe’s elimination. Hugging and rest her head on 21 year-old CeCe’s shoulder, the star. who was branded “incredibly dumb” by Simon Cowell on Wednesday night’s show, said:
“I have grown so close to you, I’m just so proud of you.”
Comforting Demi, who wore the same leopard print face make-up as her, CeCe said: “it’s ok, it’s ok.”
Tweeting after her elimination, CeCe wrote: “Head up, heart full. This is ONLY the beginning #CeCeTribe.”
Demi posted: “Really, really gonna miss CeCe though.. Real talk. This girl was not only a star but a beautiful person inside and out. #reallybummed”, before simply adding:
“I ❤ you CeCe. @CeCeMissXtotheO”
As Cece Frey exited the competition, Diamond White’s journey on the show also came to end when she was voted out of the show over group Fifth Harmony.
