Jay-Z And Beyonce Set To Trademark ‘Blue Ivy Carter’ Baby Name

Stars set to use baby’s name for commercial enterprise

Beyonce and Jay-Z are set to gain the trademark for their daughter Blue Ivy’s name. The ‘Watch The Throne’ rapper and his wife had applied to trademark the words “Blue Ivy Carter”, and it seems that barring a mishap on their part, they will gain the trademark to their daughter’s name.

Jay-Z And Beyonce Set To Trademark ‘Blue Ivy Carter’ Baby Name

The Washington Post reports that: “On Tuesday, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office posted notice that the superstars’ application to trademark “Blue Ivy Carter” faces no opposition.” All the music superstars have to do now to gain the rights to the trademark is to prove that they are using the name to market products, like for example baby strollers or clothes.

Given H.O.V. A’s commercial acumen, and his use of his own name to market his own S. Carter fashion collection it can’t be long until we see products like Baby Blue Ivy booties appearing in shops everywhere.

We only hope baby Blue doesn’t mind folks across the world going about their baby business with her name plastered all over their essentials!
