Kris Jenner appeared on “The View” on Tuesday, June 25, to promote her new talk show but the conversation quickly turned to the unique name of her newest grandchild.
It was recently reported that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West named their daughter North West. The baby was born on June 15 and while Kardashian and West have not commented on the child’s name, Jenner gave some insight on the couple’s choice. Her interview can be seen below.
“I love the name North,” Jenner said. “I’m pro North, absolutely.”
“The way she [Kim] explained it to me is that North means ‘highest power’ and she says that North is their highest point together and I thought that was really sweet,” Jenner added.
The 57-year-old also confirmed that North West does not have a middle name. As for reports that the couple has nicknamed the baby “Nori,” Jenner said she isn’t aware of that.
“I think they do [have a nickname for North]. I don’t know what they’ve decided on,” she said.
Jenner also talked about North West during her appearance on the “Today” show.
“She’s amazing and everyone is doing really well at home,” she said. Jenner later added, “The baby is doing great and happy and healthy and it’s a really joyful time.
Jenner is gearing up for the launch of her talk show, “Kris,” which premieres on July 15. The syndicated talk show will run for six weeks during the summer on several Fox affiliates.
