Beyoncé makes history again: the superstar singer is the first black woman to hit the top spot on the billboard country chart.
Released on February 11th during the Super Bowl, the Grammy Award winner accomplished the feat with his new single “Texas Hold’em” reaching No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart this week.
According to Billboard, Beyoncé is also the first woman to top the Hot Country Songs chart and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart since its inception in 1958.
“Texas Hold’em” was listened to 19.2 million times in its first four days and sold 39,000 copies, dethroning Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves’ “I Remember Everything.”
His next album, as yet untitled, is scheduled for release on March 29th.
