Nicki Minaj to make movie debut opposite Cameron Diaz

The rapper and American Idol judge is set to feature in the revenge comedy The Other Woman

Singer Nicki Minaj is set to make her live-action film debut as she joins the cast of Fox’s revenge comedy The Other Woman. According to The Hollywood Reporter the American Idol judge is in the final stage of negotiations to get on board the Cameron Diaz vehicle.

 

The comedy will be directed by Nick Cassavetes (The Notebook) and will also star Leslie Mann, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and fellow rookie Kate Upton, of Cat Daddy fame. It centres around Diaz finding out she is the other woman in an affair with a cheating husband (Coster-Waldau). She then teams up with his wife (Mann) and another of his mistresses (Upton) to take revenge.

 

Minaj, who has previously lent her vocal talents to Steffie the mammoth inIce Age 4: Continental Drift, will play Diaz’s opinionated assistant at a law firm – a woman offering relationship advice from the point of view of her third marriage.

 

The Other Woman will begin shooting in New York in late spring/early summer this year.
