The blaze started on the fourth floor of the 12-story posh Brentmore building, located in New York’s Upper West Side, around 2 p.m. and firefighters put out the flames in less than an hour, a fire department official told The New York Times, adding that no one was injured.

The cause of the fire is being investigated and several residents believe the fire started in the actor’s laundry room, the outlet reported.

De Niro, 68, is currently out of the country and has not commented about the incident. He and his wife Grace purchased their apartment, which contains at least 15 rooms and is located on the fourth, fifth and sixth floors, from Miramax mogul Harvey Weinstein’s ex-wife Eve in 2006 for $20.9 million, according to property records.
