Singer thrills fans

Usher showcased his new album, ‘Looking 4 Myself’ to an intimate crowd at HMV’s Hammersmith Apollo last night (June 11).

The album set to be his seventh studio album, following up on his 2010 ‘Raymond v. Raymond’, has already had two successful singles released in the form of ‘Climax’ and ‘Scream’.

The venue offered a significantly more intimate setting than his previous gig, the Capitol FM Summertime Ball (July 9), where he performed in front of 80,000 people at Wembley Stadium.

Usher appeared on the bill, along with other international artists, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson and his pop protégé Justin Beiber, as well as more homegrown talent such as Ed Sheernan and Dizzee Rascal.

After his performance at the Apollo Usher headed to his after-party held Mayfair, which included guests such as, self-admitted Usher fan, Alexandra Burke, who tweeted: “Usher just marry me and make me the happiest lady alive”

It must have been quite the party, because earlier on today (July 12), she followed up with another tweet reading: “What a night last night…. I don’t really remember much. Lol but it was amazing! Friends are the best cure for anything!”
