Back with a bang: Rihanna rocks edgy new fringe as she heads to recording studio in New York in stylish fur coat

Big bang theory: Rihanna looked amazing as she headed to the recording studio in Chelsea, NY, on Sunday rocking a new hairdo

She changes her hair nearly as often as her outfits so it’s little surprise that Rihanna has decided to shake things up once again.

Big bang theory: Rihanna looked amazing as she headed to the recording studio in Chelsea, NY, on Sunday rocking a new hairdo

The 26-year old Umbrella singer showcased an edgy new haircut as she stepped out of the car and entered her recording studio in New York’s Chelsea area on Sunday.

She wore her black layered tresses straight with a voluminous peek-a-boo fringe that fell below her light brown eyebrows.

Chris Browns’ avant-garde ex-girlfriend looked amazing in a Megadeth t-shirt tucked into a mini pencil skirt which she paired with black knee high socks.

Despite the moderate temperature in Manhattan today, she mixed up the temperatures by donning dark shades and a warm brown jacket with furry arms.

A smart black bag and chunky jewellery completed the seven-time Grammy award winner’s edgy attire – including gold and silver rings, watches, bangles and a chain necklace.

Last Sunday, the beautiful Barbadian returned to her native country to attend the christening of her baby cousin Majesty.

At the ceremony she looked very different to today’s bad pop girl attire, donning an elegant soft pink dress and she wore her luxurious dark hair in flowing waves over her shoulders.

In a recent Instagram photo, Rihanna dubbed herself ‘Aunty OhNaNa’, followed by a flurry of social media postings proudly showing off the adorable tot.

The christening followed Rihanna wrapping up her month-long tour with Eminem.

Early last month the duo kicked off their Monster Tour with a sell-out show at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

But now that the summer is over and she has left her family back in Barbados to carry on with her music career in New York, it is obvious Rihanna wanted to return with a bang.
