In August, Aguilera and her fiance Matthew Rutler welcomed their daughter Summer Rain into the world. Now, she is opening up about the moniker and what it means to them. She told the publication, Summer is a time of spreading warmth and light, while rain washes away…replenishes and brings new life to allow growth and new beginnings.

She went on to say, I wanted her name to be filled with inspiration, love and joy. And that’s exactly what she brings to all who encounter her. Her beauty and sunshine exude from within.

Aguilera also opened up about being a good mother to her two children, Max and Summer. She revealed, I’ve learned to surrender and let go, knowing you’re doing your very best and no one loves them, or wants what’s best for them more than you.

With regard to motherhood in itself, she said, It’s definitely not easy juggling work and motherhood, as being a parent is a full-time job within itself. You just have to make it work for you. My life has so many different moving parts, but my kids are the center focal piece, and everything else shifts around them.

When speaking about her baby daughter, she said, I was speechless. She was literally like an angel….we had an immediate calm bond, and I felt unexplainably connected to her and her spirit. Her smile lights up a room and I know it melts mama and daddy’s hearts. She laughs a ton and is easy to make smile. She just wants to be where the action is!

Aguilera also commented that she is not in a rush to marry her fiance Matthew Rutler. She added, I have my hands full and am not in a rush to set a date. Our love is secure enough that we don’t need a wedding to prove our love or commitment.
