The 93-year-old Graham, known for his fiery sermons on both radio and television, has had declining health in recent years, including a 15-year struggle with Parkinson’s disease. He was hospitalized last year with pneumonia.

With the help of William Randolph Hearst, Graham became a household names across America and his broadcasts have been seen and heard by millions. He is also known for supporting Martin Luther King Jr. in the Civil Rights Movement and for being spiritual adviser to presidents from Eisenhower to Clinton.

Though some believe Graham is in the later stages of Parkinson’s, according to his people he has no plans on quitting any time soon and is reportedly working on a new book that supposedly summarizes his larger gospel message of public ministry.
