Police say Daniele De Santis fired the four shots and was arrested for investigation of alleged attempted murder.

The fan who is to have surgery is Ciro Esposito. He is in serious condition at a Rome hospital.

The start of the match was delayed for 40 minutes as officials attempted to calm fans in the stadium, where a firefighter was injured by a flare thrown from the stands.

Police add that De Santis acted alone and is also being investigated for fighting and a firearms violation. The three fans who were shot were being investigated for fighting.

Napoli beat Fiorentina 3-1 for the trophy Saturday.
