Users of the photo-sharing website Instagram have been left frustrated today after the service stopped working.

Many people took to Twitter to post angry messages and question why the site had gone down.

The firm tweeted to tell people that it had a “feed delivery issue” which it was attempting to fix.

Many people also left humorous messages on Twitter.

DJ Ben Nicky wrote: “Instagram is not working. Suddenly we see what people really look like.”

Twitter user Technically Ron added: “With Instagram not working, I have just been knocking on people’s doors to show them my dinner. Frankly the app leads to fewer arrests.”

It is not known how long the service will be down for.
