Hurray! We love how absolutely chuffed Angelina Jolie
is with her new $250,000 engagement ring. She can’t stop showing it off and proudly flashed it at waiting paps outside the
Kodak Theatre in Hollywood yesterday.
Ain’t it pretty?
It’s just been revealed that Brad, 48,
had spent a year designing the ring for his girlfriend of 7 years. (The word “girlfriend” sounds so ridiculous when talking
about Angelina Jolie.) He worked with Beverly Hills jeweller Robert Procop to get the massive sparkler
perfect.
“The creative journey took a year,” Robert said. “I located a diamond of the finest quality and
cut it to suit Angelina’s hand.
“Brad had a specific vision for this ring. He wanted every aspect of it to be
perfect…[He] was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution. The side diamonds are
specially cut to encircle her finger. Each diamond is of the highest gem quality.”
The actress was first spotted
wearing the six-carat emerald-cut rock at a private art viewing with Brad and their adopted son Pax in LA a few days
ago.
Now everyone’s trying to work out when and where their wedding will be although Brad’s manager
Cynthia Pett-Dante, said, “It is a promise for the future. Their kids are very happy.”
People magazine reported that
Brad popped the question at their home in LA: “The duo spent the day at home together savouring the moment until their kids
returned home from school.”
