The Prime Minister makes an appearance in the video for 1D’s charity single, ‘One Way Or Another (Teenage Kicks)’, where he can be seen larking around with the teen heartthrobs.

A source close to Downing Street told The Sun: “There were some civil servants who thought it would degrade the importance of Downing Street, but he was having none of that.”

One Direction covered Blondie’s ‘One Way Or Another’ and The Undertone’s ‘Teenage Kicks’ as their comic relief single.

Harry grabs the PM for a huge hug while singing: “I wanna hold you, wanna hold you tight.”

Cameron took to Twitter after filming was completed, tweeting: “Enjoyed my cameo in @onedirection’s vid for @comicrelief charity single. Glad to help with the filming location!”

All profits of the single will go to the Comic Relief charity.
