The ’99 Problems’ rapper, who recently welcomed daughter

Blue Ivy, was seen smiling and hugging it out with jeweller Jacob Arabo in New York yesterday.

Jay-Z, 42, had a black

SUV waiting outside the jewellery store but no package was seen as he bundled his way into the vehicle, just a bottle of

water.

Sources have told Us Weekly that Jay-Z had definitely bought something special for Beyonce. With

insiders telling MailOnline that he was particularly taken with a selection of ‘Lumina’ rare blue diamonds.

“I know

he checked out coloured diamonds, the rare blue ‘Lumina’ in particular,” they said.

Four, as we know is a special

number – particularly to Beyonce – who named her last album 4. But, it also represents the date that the pair got married,

her birthday, Jay-Z’s birthday and according to Beyonce, that makes it very special indeed.

It’s also thought that

little Blue Ivy’s name was inspired by Roman numeral IV.

she really is Jay-Z’s twin. It’s hilarious. She’s beautiful.”
