The LG Optimus G Pro was announced February and was released April. It has dimensions of 5.91 x 3.00 x 0.37 inches and it has a weight of 172 grams. For its display, the type is true full HD IPS Plus LCD capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. The size of the screen is 5.5 inches. This is a little bit wider than the other recent models. It has 1080 x 1920 pixels for the resolution and it also has 401 PPI pixel density.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S4 was announced March and was released April. The dimensions are 5.38 x 2.75 x 0.31 inches and the weight is 130 grams. The type of the display is Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. The size of the screen is 5.0 inches. It has 1080 x 1920 pixels of resolution and it also has 441 PPI pixel density.

With all these, the Optimus G Pro apparently is slightly longer, wider, thicker and heavier than galaxy S4. But this is not a weakness as overall the G pro is very sleek and elegant. It still has the appropriate weight for its length, width and thickness. Definitely, it is still very handy. When it comes to the display, it seems that users can have a bigger view on the G Pro as it is 0.5 inches wider in screen size. Both have the same screen resolution. The S4 just has a slight edge in terms of PPI. So, all in all, the two seem to offer almost the same quality as far as visual experience concerned.

Which one has better camera?

The G Pro has a 13 MP primary camera with LED flash, autofocus and 4208 x 3120 pixels of resolution. It has features like geo tagging, face detection, image stabilization, panorama and HDR. On the other hand, the S4 also has a 13 MP primary camera with LED flash, autofocus and 4128 x 3096 pixels of resolution. It has features such as dual shot, image stabilization and HDR, geo tagging, touch focus, simultaneous HD video and image recording and face and smile detection,.

Apparently, both phones have the same MP for primary camera. However, the G Pro has a slight edge as it has higher image resolution. On the other hand, the S4 has more camera features. With this, one can say the G Pro is better in terms of having the best quality of image while the S4 is better in terms of the number of offered features. If you want to do more things in the way you capture moments, you might want to choose S4.

Verdict

Surprisingly, both phones almost have the same display and camera capabilities. It now all boils down to the brand of choice. Usually, the choice is hugely affected by the price. Of course, most consumers want the most affordable brand that does not compromise quality. In addition, consumers can still consider other factors such as the operating system and battery life.
