Her assailant was apparently screaming angrily about her on-again/off-again boyfriend Chris Brown
Rihanna first London Fashion Week show was never going to be dull… but nobody expected it to end with the singer bleeding in the street.
According to an eyewitness, as Riri left The Box nightclub in Soho at 4am, a man threw a Lucozade bottle at her leg.
It caused her to stumble and fall, and she cut her knee on the pavement.
Her assailant was apparently screaming angrily about her on-again/off-again boyfriend Chris Brown. Her bodyguard bolted after the offender, but he also fell, requiring hospital treatment.
It was a chaotic night all round. The singer had flown half-way across the globe to pick up a tidy £800,000 pay cheque to show her debut Rihanna For River Island collection.
But the oversubscribed, nine-minute fashion show started 50 minutes late and saw Rihanna, 24, on stage for a mere 30 seconds.
She then refused to mingle at her own after-party, choosing instead to stay holed up in her Winnebago with BFF Melissa Forde.
Stars left disappointed by her no-show included The Saturdays’ Mollie King and Rochelle Humes, N-Dubz Fazer and Olympic gymnast Louis Smith.
But Ri did invite her supermodel pals Cara Delevingne, 20, and Jourdan Dunn, 22, to her backstage lair… and by the smell of things, there was dope – although there was nothing to suggest either Cara or Jourdan were partaking.
A backstage source claims: “From the moment Rihanna arrived earlier in the evening you could smell marijuana.”
Ri’s no stranger to marijuana speculation, as 3am revealed two days ago.
Last week she tweeted pictures of what appeared to be big buds of weed with the caption: “Roses are green! Somebody knows how to make me happy.”
She has also been photographed on numerous occasions smoking what looked like joints.
Last year, when questioned if she’d used cocaine, she fiercely denied it and hit back in US Vogue, saying: “They knew what it was. They knew it was marijuana. It was completely clear to them.”
Why not try a calming cup of mint tea?
