The authority in charge of regulating communication in kenya, the Kenya Communications Authority (CA) has ordered social media giant TikTok to remove sexually abusive content from its platform from after the BBC investigates child exploitation was exposed to Kenya’s live stream.

David Mugonyi, General Director of the Kenya Communications Authority condemned the violation and described it as violating both Kenya and international laws regarding child protection and online security.
As part of his procedure, formal exams began to assess the scope of violations and secure a duty of accountability.
