An extremely private chat group of high-ranking US officials unintentionally included the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic magazine.

The editor-in-chief of The Atlantic magazine, Jeffrey Goldberg, revealed this Monday, March 24, an incredible mistake made by the Trump administration. Revealing that he had unintentionally been invited to participate in a highly secret focus group about the U.S. military operations in Yemen.
Senior U.S. officials were discussing in this chat group the planned operations against the Houthis in Yemen on Saturday, March 15.
He claims that two hours before the strikes were scheduled to start, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth unintentionally provided him the attack plan, complete with exact details about the weapons, targets, and timings.
The White House has in fact confirmed that the journalist was mistakenly included in the discussion group, created on the Signal application. This messaging application is highly prized by reporters and politicians for its proven confidentiality.

For National Security Council spokesman Brian Hughes, the chain of messages reported in The Atlantic article is genuine, and they will be investigating how the journalist’s number was mistakenly added.
It should be noted that The Atlantic’s editor-in-chief published only part of the screenshots of this conversation, such was the sensitivity of the information shared.
Jeffrey Goldberg explains that a total of 18 people are involved in this loop, including, according to him, diplomatic chief Marco Rubio, Vice President JD Vance and CIA boss John Ratcliffe.
